3 When electric vehicles slow down they use the electric motors in reverse to store energy from decelerating, resulting in little to no use of the brakes during the course of driving. Gasoline cars cannot run a motor in reverse while decelerating, and instead need to consume replaceable brake pads and metal brake rotors.
4 Teslas have an 8 year/120,000 mile warranty. Additionally Electric Vehicles do not have fuel injection systems or engine cooling systems which routinely fail in the first 8 years and need repairs out of regular service intervals.
